Who They Are

Real Children. Real Dreams.

The children at Purple Rose Orphans are not defined by poverty or hardship. They are children with personalities, favourite games, school routines, talents, friendships, fears, hopes and dreams.

This page introduces the children in our care with dignity and care. We share only limited information to protect each child’s privacy and safety.

How We Protect Children’s Privacy

For child protection reasons, we use first names only. We do not publish surnames, exact birth dates, private family histories, medical details, school records or information that could put a child at risk.

We use “Born: Month Year” instead of age so the information remains respectful and easier to maintain.

Children’s cards are shown only on this page. We do not create separate public profile pages for each child unless explicitly approved later.

Staying Connected With Care

Sponsors may receive respectful updates about the child they support.

Depending on the child’s age and circumstances, this may include:

  • a photo and short profile;
  • occasional updates about daily life;
  • school or general progress updates;
  • drawings or letters every two months, where appropriate;
  • news from the home and community.
Photo (from Simon): a child drawing or writing at the home — illustrates the updates sponsors receive

Sponsorship Without Exposure

Child sponsorship helps provide steady monthly support for a child’s daily care, but it does not create private access to a child.

Sponsors do not communicate directly with children. Updates are shared only through official Purple Rose Orphans channels and only when appropriate.

A child’s dignity and safety always come first.

Help Children Grow With Safety and Dignity

Your support helps provide food, school, healthcare, clothing, hygiene, play, safety and daily care for children who need stability and love.
