Health & Safety
Health is more than medicine. It includes prevention, hygiene, emotional safety and protection every day.

Health Is Part of Daily Care
Children's health depends on many daily actions: meals, hygiene, clean clothes, safe routines, prevention, supervision and access to medical care when needed. At Purple Rose Orphans, health and safety are part of the way we care for the whole child.
Medical Care and Health Support
When children become sick or need medical attention, they need adults who can respond quickly and responsibly. Health support may include consultations, medicine, check-ups, emergency care and follow-up when needed.

Vaccinated from the First Months
All our children up to 18 months old are vaccinated following the immunisation schedule of Uganda's Ministry of Health.
These vaccines are provided free of charge for infants, and keeping every child's immunisation record up to date is part of our routine health care.

A little comfort after every visit
After every vaccination our youngest receive extra cuddles, monitoring and care. Comfort and emotional safety are part of how we support children through every medical visit.

Hygiene and Prevention
Many health problems can be reduced through simple daily prevention.
Hygiene support includes soap, toothpaste, clean clothes, washing, cleaning supplies and routines that help keep children healthier.
Malaria, Worms and Common Health Risks
Children in Uganda can face common health risks such as malaria, intestinal worms and infections. Prevention and early care matter. Even small amounts of support can help provide protection and treatment that keeps children healthier.
Helps protect one child from malaria and intestinal worms for a whole month.

Emotional Safety
Health is also emotional.
Children need adults who listen, comfort, guide and protect them. They need routines, patience, play, kindness and a home where they are not humiliated or exposed. Emotional safety helps children grow in confidence and trust.
Child Protection Comes First
Purple Rose Orphans follows child protection rules for staff, volunteers, visitors, donors, sponsors, photos, stories and online communication. We use first names only, avoid private details, protect children's images and never allow direct private contact between supporters and children.
