We provide daily care, food, shelter, education support, basic healthcare access, hygiene, clothing, emotional support and a safe home environment for vulnerable children.
Our work is built around one simple belief: every child deserves safety, dignity, care and the chance to grow.
We are not only a project. We are a home, a local team and a community-based effort to protect children and give them a better future.
Purple Rose Orphans began in Kikumbi and now works in the wider Mityana area, caring for vulnerable children with safety, dignity and daily support.
The organisation grew around children who had no stable support and around a local team that believed they deserved more than survival.
Today, Purple Rose Orphans cares for children through daily routines, meals, school support, healthcare, hygiene, play, emotional care and community connection.
The work is still growing, but the heart of it remains the same: to care for children with dignity, consistency and love.

A doctor, Simon leads the organisation, coordination and communication with local authorities. Growing up in a very poor large family, his own path through education shaped his belief in resilience and practical support for children.
Trained as a nurse with a Public Health specialisation, Olivia runs the daily life of the home — the children's care, routines and activities — making sure the home works with structure, safety and attention to every daily need.
Annette lives at the home and cares for the children every day — cooking, cleaning and holding the daily rhythm together.
Christine supports the youngest children with daily care, feeding, comfort and attention. Her role is especially important for the babies and toddlers who need close, gentle and consistent presence.
Purple Rose Orphans also receives professional support from people who offer their services to help the organisation work responsibly — including pro bono legal support and accounting support.
These contributions help Purple Rose grow with responsibility, structure and transparency.
Peter offers his accounting expertise to Purple Rose Orphans on a volunteer basis, helping keep the organisation’s finances clear and well managed.
Angela supports Purple Rose Orphans’ fundraising efforts in the UK, helping connect the organisation with new supporters and opportunities.
Nobert supports Purple Rose Orphans as its Uganda-based legal advisor on a pro bono basis, helping the organisation operate responsibly and in good legal standing.
