Why Purple Rose Greece Exists

Turning goodwill into organised support.

Purple Rose Greece was created because people in Greece wanted to help, and that support needed a clear and responsible way to take shape.

As more people learned about the children in Mityana and the work being built around them, it became clear that goodwill on its own was not enough. Support needed structure. It needed a way for people to contribute, stay informed, take part and trust that their help was connected to real needs.

That is why Purple Rose Greece was established. The association gives this support a home in Greece. It helps bring people together, strengthens awareness, encourages community involvement and creates practical ways for support to grow in an organised and lasting way.

Purple Rose Greece also helps connect people in Greece with the reality of the work in Mityana. It allows support to move through a recognised and accountable local framework, while keeping the focus on the children and their needs.

The everyday care of the children remains in the hands of the people working locally in Uganda. Purple Rose Greece exists to stand beside that work, strengthen it and help build a long-term community of support around it.
