From Greece to Mityana: How Support Works

People in Greece can contribute through donations, community activities, partnerships and other forms of support. Purple Rose Greece then organises that support around clearly identified needs, whether they relate to daily care, food, housing, hygiene, education, health or the people who care for the children.

When financial or material support is sent to Uganda, it is linked to a specific purpose. Purple Rose Orphans receives it in Mityana and uses it for the agreed need as part of its local work and everyday care.

This means that support is not simply sent “to Uganda” in a general sense. It is connected to something practical and necessary.

A contribution made in Greece can become food for the home, support for caregivers, school-related needs, hygiene supplies or another essential part of daily life in Mityana.

That is how support travels from one community to another: organised in Greece, put to work locally in Uganda, and always connected to the needs of the children.
