Donations

Donations made through this website are voluntary contributions and are not payments for goods or services.

Online card donations are processed securely through Stripe-hosted Checkout. Payment card details are entered directly into Stripe's payment environment and are not stored by purpleroseorphans.org.

Donations received by Purple Rose Greece are used in furtherance of its charitable purpose, including supporting the care and wellbeing of the children supported by Purple Rose in Mityana, Uganda.

Unless a specific arrangement has been expressly agreed in advance, donations are applied according to the actual needs of the children and the organisation and do not give the donor control over the use of individual funds.

3

One-time and Recurring Support

Supporters may make a one-time or monthly donation through Stripe Checkout. Monthly donations charge the chosen amount each month until cancelled. Donors can manage or cancel their monthly Stripe donation through Stripe's secure customer portal or contact Purple Rose Greece for assistance.

Supporters may also make a bank transfer or set up a monthly standing order through their bank. Standing orders can be changed or cancelled directly with the bank.

4

Refunds and Payment Disputes

Donations are generally considered final once successfully processed.

However, if a donation was made in error, duplicated, processed for an incorrect amount or appears to have been made without the donor's authorisation, the donor should contact Purple Rose as soon as possible using our Contact Us form (Donations).

Each request will be reviewed individually. Where a refund is approved, it will normally be returned through the original payment method where possible. Processing times may depend on Stripe, the relevant bank or card issuer.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

5

Child Sponsorship

Sponsorship is a form of voluntary financial support for the care and wellbeing of children supported by Purple Rose.

Child safeguarding, privacy, dignity and the best interests of each child always take priority. Any information about children displayed on this website is deliberately limited for safeguarding and privacy purposes.

6

Third-party Payment and External Services

The website may also contain links to social-media platforms, banks or other third-party websites and services. Purple Rose is not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of third-party services that it does not control.
